Cross-Country Mountain Bike Race

The MNSCS comes back to Buck Hill.  This fun and fast cross-country course covers a 2.7 mile loop just minutes from the Twin Cities. These trails offer something for everyone, along with some fun single track and small amount of climbing.

Notes:
1) Kids Comp, Citizen, Sport, and Comp race entrants holding a USA Cycling Mountain annual membership (license), receive a $3 refund at race registration upon presentation of their membership card at the registration tent.
2)*USAC Sanctioned - All 2009 MNSCS events are USAC Mountain sanctioned. Racers competing in the Pro and Expert Classes are required to have an annual USA Cycling license. To purchase a license visit www.usacycling.org

Shimano Kids Race

The Shimano Youth Series is designed to give children an opportunity to compete like their parents in a positive and fun environment. Over the years, the Shimano Youth Series has expanded to include over 100 races per year, reaching over 5000 kids.

The Shimano Youth Series is free to children ages 3 to 12. Kids receive a t-shirt, a numberplate, and a shiny new gold medal. Parent cyclists ride and race with the kids, providing motivational and physical support.
Race starts at 12:45 PM! Helmets are required. Register on-site only, Sunday,August 9th by 12:30pm.

 


Registration & Pre-ride

Food and drink will be for sale on race day.

The course will be open for pre-riding to REGISTERED racers. The XC course is on PRIVATE PROPERTY and can be open for pre-riding on Saturday August 9th between 10 and 3.

Registration will be open at 8am in the lower level of the Bucket bar.

Awards

Prizes will be provided for 1st - 3rd place in each age class for Kids Comp, Citizen, Sport, Comp, Expert, & Pro classes. Top finishing Elite Group (Experts and Pros combined) will receive cash awards. See the MNSCS Guidelines for payout details.
