3 Tasty Dishes that Won’t Ruin Your Garcinia Diet

zuchinniHarvest Squash Deluxe

2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon each pepper and paprika
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 pound each zucchini and
yellow squash, grated
8 small lamb rib chops or loin chops, seasoned and broiled 4 tomatoes

Combine all ingredients except lamb chops and tomatoes; blend well. In 10-inch
Seal-A-Meal® boilable cooking pouch material, seal 4 chops with Seal-A-Meal® appliance. Make second seal 1-inch above first,then fill with half of squash mixture; seal.

Repeat with remaining chops and squash. Store in freezer. To serve: Heat frozen pouch
in boiling water 15 minutes, following procedure in instruction book. (Begin timing when water returns to boil, after adding pouch.) Stuff tomatoes with cooked squash; accompany each serving with 2 chops.

Makes 4 servings.

To Heat in Microwave: Cut pouch apart between double seal. Place bag of frozen squash on paper toweling or plate in center of microwave. Pierce squash pouch to make steam vent, cook on full power 2 minutes.

Place frozen chops in oven with squash, pierce chop bag; cook 21/2 minutes. Massage squash pouch with fingers to “stir”, cook 11/2 to 2 minutes longer. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes before serving.

Spanish Garden in-a-Pouch

1/2 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
Vs teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound string beans, sliced
2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes 1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup fresh corn kernels, cut from cob

In broad skillet saute onion and garlic in oil; stir in seasonings and vegetables. Cover; steam 8 to 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp. Fill three 8 fluid ounce 8 x 6-inch boilable cooking pouches with 11/2 cup amounts vegetable mixture; seal with Seal-A-Meal® appliance (or, seal in 5-inch lengths of 10-inch boilable cooking pouch material). Store in freezer. To serve: Heat frozen pouch in boiling water 5 minutes, fol¬lowing procedure in instruction booklet. (Begin timing when water returns to boil, after
adding pouch.) Makes (2 serving) pouches.

To Heat in Microwave: Pierce corner of frozen pouch; place in center of microwave cavity. Cook on full power 2 minutes. Mas¬sage pouch with fingers to “stir”; cook 2 minutes longer. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes before serving.

Zesty Spaghetti

Zesty Spaghetti Frozen Dinner

3/4 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pound lean ground beef
3 pounds tomatoes, peeled and
cut in chunks
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon each paprika and rosemary
114 teaspoon pepper
1 pound spaghetti, cooked and drained

Parmesan cheese

In large Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Add tomatoes, green pepper, parsley and seasonings. Bring to boil; simmer uncovered 40 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool 10 to 15 minutes. In 10-inch Seal-A-Meal® boilable cooking pouch material, seal i4 of the spaeletti, then 11/2 cups sauce with Seal-A-Meal® appliance. (Spaghetti and sauce should be sealed in separate compartments in same pouch bag.) Repeat with remaining spaghetti and sauce; freeze. To serve: Heat frozen pouch in boiling water 10 minutes, following procedure in instruction book. (Begin timing when water returns to boil after adding pouch.) Serve sauce over spaghetti; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Makes 8 servings.
